Rushing Christmas
It's been a hectic couple of weeks, what with the Bigay-Kaya, the Lantern Parade, and of course, cram-shopping for Christmas. But I've been good--I had it all under way last week, finally. Finally got the girls their Christmas presents, got the DVD player for Daddy, and finished my grocery shopping for Noche Buena.
Bigay-Kaya was exhausting but fun. It was nice seeing all those kids enjoy something they might never had the chance of enjoying before. It was fun seeing them participate in the games and smile when they got their presents. We were all sooo tired afterwards but it was well worth it.
The Lantern Parade, although pared down to a minimum due to cost-cutting, was great too. I never planned on marching down again after my batch's um, not-so-nice performance in 2001. But I genuinely enjoyed this year. And a bonus--we won! Arki the best!!! The afterparty was also nice, with the faculty and students together. Went to Noel's place after to finish up what's left of his beers. Sarap.
Finished my Christmas shopping. Hay sarap. Got everything I need for the week, including the presents. Gave everyone their presents na (well, almost everyone). The boys loved it. I enjoyed getting those presents done. I'm such a sucker for playing Santa. Oh, and I got my Starbucks planner na. Yipee!
Had a small but super fun party at the house last night. Leni, Noel, Lex, Jas, Pat and Jay (who I haven't seen in the longest time!) were there. Jika dropped by just to give us her delish chocolate cake (galing mo mag-bake Jix!). Eros wasn't there--nasobrahan yata sa career! I've never experienced anything close to what I experienced last night--it was happy and gross and laugh-your-ass-off fun, and everything else in between! Ulit!!! hahahaha
